"Not that much tantrums - less shouting and yelling.Temperament has improved.
Overall, he has come a long way!
Home teaching is better now. Attention has quite improved. No more staring into space.
Stimming very much reduced. Flapping much less now. Hitting is less now.
Violent tendency not as vigorous as it was before.
Most of the time he follows instructions.
I think coping is much better now.
Pronunciation little improved. For sure, I can understand him clearly.
Detoxification - initially I was not very sure. But now, I kind of believe in it.
I still think that as time goes by, probably he will benefit more. I have the trust in the product."

Interviews on Detoxification
"Excessive drooling. Drooling happened too much. Then he started mouthing almost everything."
Mother: Excessive drooling. He, as a baby, has not drooled and not mouthing anything when he was a baby. He started drooling when he was writing and his mouth was open. Drooling happened too much. Then he started mouthing almost everything. Even a book, blanket, ;pencil eraser tissue.
Now, I feel the drooling has stopped. It is not as rigorous as it was.
Now it has almost kind of stopped. But mouthing is still there, but not at the level that he was doing initially.
Drooling lasted for almost two months.

"Rashes on both sides by corners of his lips."
Mother: He had rashes on both sides by the corners of his lips. He licked them with his tongue. I am not sure if the rash came from the detoxification. Sometimes they got dry. Just on the skin, not on the lip.
Mother: The rashes came like a month back. It stayed on. On and off, it went off. I do not see the redness. When I touch, it was dry. Again, it’s coming back. Just below the lower lip (photo sent via Consultation Support WhatsApp chatgroup)

"The other major thing that I noticed is his eyes itching - he says eyes are hurting."
Mother: The other major thing that I noticed is his eyes itching. Nowadays, very less, like maybe one episode a day - he says eyes are hurting.
He had it maybe for 3 weeks or so. I put koo energy Spray, but he did not like it. He was covering.
Sometimes it was right eye, for a week. Then the left. He’s always saying itching, and crying using tissue paper to wipe it

"Initially, he was sleeping nicely for 9 hours.
But then, a month back, his sleep was disrupted."
But then, a month back, his sleep was disrupted."
Mother: Initially, he was sleeping nicely for 9 hours.
But then a month back, his sleep was disrupted. He was waking at very odd hours. Maybe around 6 o’clock, he would go back to sleep. Something like that.
But now, since about 2 weeks, he is fine and his sleeping is fine.
Just that today and yesterday, he woke up at 5 o’clock. But I think that is because his sleep is finished and he doesn’t want to sleep anymore. It is not like there was any issues with his sleep.
But then there was a time in between when his sleeping pattern was terrible. I did not write about it.
Consultant: It is ok as long as you can cope. It is very common among user of koo energy Sleep Therapy. As long as he gets to go back to sleep to catch up if necessary, it is fine.
The good thing about primary user is: no matter how disturbed his sleep is, by 6 o o’clock he is up and running.
Terrible sleep of 2nd month lasted for a week.

"He had fever 3 different times. All the time he was having running nose."
Mother: There was a time that ran up for 3-4 weeks. When he’s eating, he was putting it out the food - not closing his mouth and eating. He was doing something, and then all the food got around his mouth - that was happening.
Now, it is ok. He’s getting back to closing his mouth and eating now. Now it has stopped.

"First time, fever out of the blue. All of a sudden, he got fever. It was there for one day."
Consultant: Some children display mild detox all year round. Nothing beats an intensive discharge with a fever.
Mother reported:20/11 Day 45
Fever 38.2°C-Panadol syrup for Fever. Aerius syrup for Cold.
5/12 Day 58
Again had high fever of 39.8°C at midnight last night and again same at around 3am . Both times used suppository adol and voltaren. Since morning he looks fine but still on medication.
Mother: First time, fever out of the blue. All of a sudden, he got fever. It was there for one day. Then he was fine the next day onwards.
Consultant: Medication - that’s the reason it went away within a day. If you had let it run its course, it may have developed differently.
Mother: This is why I am scared. When he’s having fever, it may run for 4 days.

"Since first week, he was already scratching his ears."
Mother: Something has come out. Not regularly. But on and off he does - he walks in a very peculiar way. Maybe he’s tiptoeing, something like that - before he did not do. Or maybe he tries to walk in a crooked leg.
Consultant: This is not by chance.. There could be days when detoxification intensifies - there are needles and pins sensation.
(We did see that in some children who previously did not have tiptoeing, then on it appeared in certain days, but after that it went off.)

"He was crawling. For just 2 days."
Mother: He was also crawling.
Consultant: Interesting that you are voicing this out. Some of the activities that he missed in his toddler stage, like crawling.
Mother: Even he did not crawl as a baby. But now, he was crawling from one place to another.
Consultant: Is he still crawling?
Mother: No, it was just for 2 days that he was crawling.

After 3 months
Sleep Issues/Energy Level
Before |
After |
He wakes up in the middle of the night as he seems to have enough sleep. |
First month of Sleep Therapy, he was sleeping through the night. But second month, it was on and off. This month - the third month. Again long sleep is there. |
He does not fall asleep easily, unless he is very tired from school. Takes 1/2 hour to 1 1/2 hour to fall asleep. |
Initially, when we started, he used to fall asleep quicker. Now it takes some time. Some days 30 minutes, some days 45 minutes. That continues. |
Mumbling mostly. |
Mumbling at bedtime is becoming less. Yesterday he did a little bit. But then overall it is less. |
Throwing his arms and legs while lying down. He used to kick mum lying next to him. |
Now, very less now. Some days, it is not there at all. Overall it is very less. |
It has been there since a very age. He never closes his mouth. When I say close, he will shut his lips. But then almost all the time, it is open. Saliva coming down too. Drooling was there but not much. |
I feel it is close. Whenever I observe before I go to sleep, it is close. Even in the daytime, it is close. |
Dietary Habits
Before |
After |
Except for snacks, main meals being fed. |
He eats on his own for dinner now, which is one day pasta, one day noodle. |
He used to keep on chewing without swallowing. |
He is chewing more. Eating well. |
Hand control with spoon was poor. |
Now his holding of the fork and spoon much better now. |
He never touched meat. |
But now he takes meat. |
Selective eating. Does not try new food. |
Better appetite than before. Even during fever, he was eating well. |
Toilet Habits
Before |
After |
Brushing - sometimes shouts. |
He would do a little bit for toothbrushing. |
Brushing/washing - assisted. He used to struggle in showering. |
There is no resistance now. He is just standing and letting us shower him. |
Prior to Sleep Therapy, he would swallow the toothpaste. Mother would brush his teeth without paste. |
Now, he doesn’t swallow the toothpaste. He actually spits it out. |
Temperament
Before |
After |
More display of anxiety than anger. Anger is definitely there. |
Temperament has improved. |
Impulsive behaviour - can pinch/kick/push for no reason. |
We do not hear any tantrums. He doesn’t throw tantrums at all. |
Does not like to sit, always walking. |
No more walking about. |

Always looking at a picture frame by the side of his bedroom wall, mumbling. |
On and off. Not completely gone. But very less now. |
Behaviour
Before |
After |
Stimming, handflapping, putting things in mouth. Ticks always walking. Handflapping in the midst of pacing in front of TV. |
I think some days no stimming at all. I think it is very much reduced. Flapping sometimes - when he sees something on tv. It is much less now. |
If he does not get what he wanted, he will react, he will get angry, start crying, kicking somebody, pinching. |
Not that there are no incidents here and there. But it is much less, compared to the past. |
Hyperactive. Sometimes, he just runs but then he comes back to sit - it is like he needs movement break. |
When he is sitting, he seats for a long time.Walking is less now, compared to before Sleep Therapy. |

Before |
After |
There is a lot of mumbling. |
Some days more mumbling and some days less or none. |
No conversational language. |
Trying to express little more. He will ask for snack or rice. Calmer to express. At times, he’s taking initiative to talk to me. I do have the habit to chitchat with him. |
Verbal
Before |
After |
Vocabulary is a little below his level. His vocabulary is very good, but single word. |
A little more words used in context. I could understand what he says. More initiative to say words of his own. Pronunciation little improved than before. For sure, I can understand him clearly. The teacher started telling me that his expression is good, in expressing what he wants in class. If he doesn’t want to do anything, he would say “I don’t like this activity.” |
Other Area of Observation
Before |
After |
Did not like to write/draw. |
Now he is drawing - the shape is not perfect. But he is trying. I think the grip of pencil is much better now. |
In the past, he played alone. |
In the school, they are saying he’s much more engaged now. |
In the past, he played alone. |
In the school, they are saying he’s much more engaged now. |
Difficult to stop from favourite items like phone. Will resist to give it back. (start flapping/hitting/screaming) |
Less use of handphone. Now I put a timer. When the time is up, he will give the phone back. Now, no more fighting. He knows his limit. |
OCD Behaviour in the toilet. Before leaving for school, he used to go toilet to check for dust or something. If there is a hair, he will ask her to ‘clean, clean’. He does not like unclean things. |
Nowadays, we haven’t seen that recently. He no longer got bothered by the hair strands in the toilet. |
Recently, he would put his legs. He would go and come and then placed his legs on the floor. As if the floor is tilted, as if he flattening the floor - for the past 2-3 week. |
No more awkward leg gesture. Yes, this is also gone! |

Mother: I think communication has improved a lot. Even in school, his teacher said "now when they have carpet time, he participates more.” He sings along.
Even at home, I feel that more words are coming out. He does communicate.

"The school is saying he is pairing up with other kids more often than he used to be."
Consultant: No social skills in the past- not able to get on with the kids. Any interaction of late?
Mother: Because of he’s only child at home and also Covid, he did not have such experience. But the school is saying he is pairing up with other kids more often than he used to be.
Consultant: That's interesting! So he has more friends now.

Verbal
"He surprised me that day. He said, 'Remove the leash!'"
Mother: Our neighbour has a dog. He surprised me that day!
When we were playing outside, and that person was taking the dog out. He gave the dog to him, and there was the leash still with the leash to him. He said, “Remove the leash!”
Consultant: That is his motivation to speak so that the other party who may not be so familiar with his communication style still understand him. It is a great reward to receive his desired results.

"Pronunciation little improved. For sure, I can understand him clearly."
Consultant: How about his pronunciation?
Mother: I could understand what he says. Little improved than before. For sure ,I can understand him clearly.
The teacher started telling me that his expression is good, in expressing what he wants in class.
If he doesn’t want to do anything, he would say “I don’t like this activity.”
Consultant: Excellent - two way communication.

Other Area of Observation
"No more staring into space. I have not seen it recently."
Mother: At times, he’s not looking. He just likes to stare at a picture or one place in the ceiling.
He used to look at the chandelier.
Now, it is not there. No more staring of the space. I have not seen it recently.

"Very less staring at one place in the room."
Consultant: Any changes in the wall narration? Mumbling in the past.
Mother: I am not very sure. You mean to say he’s staring at one place in his room.
No more there. On and off. Not completely gone. But very less now.

"I think coping is much better now."
Mother: I think coping is much better now. Even in school, I had parent-teacher meeting recently. She said he dropped some water on the shirt - he had the habit to remove it. He tried to remove his shirt. The teacher told him you cannot remove the shirt in school like this, and it was not much and it’s fine. He stayed like that.
In the past, he would want to change.
Coping is much improved.
Consultant: Many a times, it is due to sensory overload. If he is not so sensitive now, he did not feel the need to ‘overreact’.

"He drew 'man' recently. That is a new thing that he did."
Mother: Puzzles, he does, yes.
Consultant: Any changes in terms of his play behaviour? What kind of things did he draw?
Mother: Yes, I do not have the picture now. He has thrown it. He drew 'man' recently. There was a nail on the wall where we used to put a picture. He wanted to put it there. He put there, looking at it.
That is a new thing that he did.
Consultant: Wow, that is his masterpiece. Have a wall for him to display his drawings - it will give him the confidence.

"I think the grip is much better now."
Consultant: Any changes in his handwriting? In the way he is holding pencil or pen?
Mother: I think the grip is much better now. Handwriting is different sizes now.
Initially, when we started Sleep Therapy, he was writing good. But now, it is all over the place. Height of the letters are not the same - some big, some small. Space between letters - too much.
That time he did well, we praised him.
Consultant: Before picture of his handwriting and after Sleep Therapy need to be analysed to see if his visual distortion has been corrected.
Motivation is a factor. If I am forced to write something over and over again, I will not take it seriously. But if limited to one masterpiece, I will do very well. Convey the message, and you will be able to see his true colours of his eye power.

"We have not seen (him bothered by hair strands in the toilet) for a while."
BEFORE
He has this habit. He comes out of the bathroom. He gets dressed up for school. Then he will again go. He will check whether there is any dust or something. If something is there, he will ask the nanny to put the water and wash it. When that is done right, then he will come out.
If there is a hair, he will ask her to ‘clean, clean’. He does not like unclean things. Not everyday, some morning is there.
Consultant: We have correct this asap because this can develop into OCD, if unaware. There is a physical reason. This is because his eyesight is superb.
AFTER
Mother: In the past, before leaving for school, he used to go toilet to check. But nowadays, we haven’t seen that recently.
Consultant: So he no longer got bothered by the hair strands in the toilet.
Mother: Yes, we have not seen for a while.
Consultant: Excellent. Was it shortly after Sleep therapy kicked in?
Mother: Yes, before that, it was that. But after Sleep Therapy, I haven’t seen that.
Consultant: So his vision has improved gradually.

Conclusion
"Now, I kind of believe in detoxification. I have trust in the product."
Consultant: First, expectation. Was it met at all?
Mother: I think I was too hopeful. But I know that it has to run its course - that I understood over time.
Detoxification - initially I was not very sure. But now, I kind of believe in it. I still think that as time goes by, probably he will benefit more.
I have the trust in the product.
Unless everything (toxic load) gets cleared, I do not think he can cope up with everything.
We are somewhere there.
